How we’re gettin’ otherwise
Without the luxury of leavin’
The touch and feeling of free is
Untangible technically
Something you’ve got to believe in
Connect the cause and effect
One foot in front of the next
This is the start of a journey.
And my mind is already gone
And though there are other unknowns
Somehow this doesn’t concern me."

Going On - Gnarls Barkley
What is it about letting go that is so difficult? I’ve seen what happens when you do let go, when you stop over analyzing every little bitty thing and just live as opposed to thinking about living or planning how you will live. But it is still scary to dive into an abyss of no control and surrender to the world around you. A deep rooted belief in yourself and your qualities makes all the difference. And while reading those words, or hearing them spoken from anothers mouth let alone my own, sounds foreign, rich, foolish and full of conceite - it is quite possibly the most freeing and beautiful experience one could have.
It’s funny, being stuck. You think you could never get out. But as soon as you drop the list of failures and successes you keep tucked away for easy reference, as soon as you stop expecting everything and expect nothing except your commitment to your dreams, the moment you begin to trust yourself, the world opens it’s doors to you.
It is said that God helps those who helps themselves. Then, and only if he has time, does he help those who help others.
Life will never be easy. But it can be enjoyable if you get out of it’s way.
